Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia! The Easter Vigil is the high point of the entire liturgical year. The darkness of this holy night is broken by the light of Christ that shines from the Easter Candle. The readings that proclaim God’s saving power are joyously proclaimed. New Christians are brought to life in the Sacraments of Initiation. And together we feast at the table of the Lord as we recognize his presence in the breaking of the bread.
