If you pick up any of the high school textbooks of Ave Maria Press, open to the copyright page, you will find that the book has received an Imprimatur from the Bishop John M. D'Arcy, the Bishop of Fort Wayne South Bend and a Nihil Obstat from the diocese's Censor Liborum, Fr. Michael Heintz.
Fr. Mike, the pastor of St. Matthew's Cathedral in South Bend and a theology professor at the University of Notre Dame, was featured in the February 17 South Bend Tribune highlighting yet another of his skills and interests: he is a baseball umpire extraordinaire! His parishioners gifted him with participation in a professional umpire school.
