The Pope's Message to Catholic Educators

Pope Benedict XVI addressed Catholic educators on Thursday, April 17, at Catholic University in Washington D.C. Some of the main points gleaned from his presentation:

The primary mission of Catholic education is evangelization

Teachers should be immersed in Jesus Christ and Catholicism

Catholic education should be open to all

An educator is called to facilitate the discovery for truth and to lead their students to an awakening for the "fullness and unity of truth."
