I don't have words to express the wisdom contained in this small book! Fr. John Burns eloquently articulates the teachings of St. Francis de Sales in an accessible way, while preserving his original writings and thoughts. He also includes St. Francis' original meditations which this book is based from in the back. Prepare to have a new outlook on Death, Judgement, Heaven, Hell, and how we are called to simple holiness! I would recommend this book ten times over!

This is a wonderful resource to grow closer to God and learn from the wisdom of St. Francis de Sales. With a busy schedule it was hard to read in 10 days so it was great to read and pray with for as many days in a row as I needed and others can do that too. St. Francis de Sales, pray for us!
