According to the most recent U.S. census, 59% of Catholics in the United States are Hispanic/Latino(a). At the same time, a decreasing percentages of Hispanics stay Catholic as adults. This means it is essential for the Church to reach out with open hearts to welcome newcomers to Catholic parishes.
