The Fullness of All Things
The Easter Vigil Mass is the greatest and highest of all solemnities. It takes place after the sun sets on Saturday and is truly glorious in every way. It begins with the blessing of a new fire outside the church and the preparation of the paschal candle. I would like to offer the words the priest says during the preparation of the paschal candle as a summary of the journey we have made this Lent.
