Shannon Wimp Schmidt is cohost of the Plaid Skirts and Basic Black podcast, and a member of the advisory board of Catholics United for Black Lives. She is the co-author of Fat Luther Slim Pickin's. She has more than a decade of experience in youth and pastoral ministry. Shannon discusses how working in parish ministry has taught her the value of listening and meeting people where they are in order to provide them with what they need.
